Water Damage in Playa Vista,C A
This job was a commercial hallway water damage. The affected drywall was showing some signs of moisture. We left the area without equipment and came back the next day to check on it. Since this is a commercial hallway, the property manager did not want us to place any equipment. However, since the drywall did not make any progress we recommend that the drywall be removed. When leaving the affected area untreated and in high humidity and temperature mold growth is very common. Once we opened the drywall to let the framing/plywood to dry out, we noticed some fresh mold growth on the drywall. We removed the drywall and disposed of it. We made to wipe the area down with anti-microbial and to let it dry out before the build back commences to prevent any mold growth.
